I am a college student majoring in wildlife management at missouri state u living in springfield mo but grew up in st. louis mo. Started fly fishing at a young age with my uncles in colorado but really got into it "tying flies reading countless number of books" at around 20. One of John Gierachs books originally got me interested in bamboo fly rods and after talking to some people on this forum i knew i needed to upgrade to bamboo, i just recently got a 7 1/2ft orvis madison. If it wasn't for trout and fly fishing i would have probably been done with school by now.
